Edward Lipton ArchitectEdward Lipton BA (Hons) DipArch, RIBA

Director

Edward studied at Manchester University and completed his diploma and professional qualifications at The Bartlett School of Architecture in London. Edward has extensive experience in both the private and public housing sector and has remained heavily active within all departments of Lipton Plant. Since 2002, he has been a Co-Director of Lipton Plant Architects with Jonathan Plant.

 


Architect Jonathan PlantJonathan Plant BA (Hons) DipArch, RIBA

Director

Jonathan studied for his degree at Manchester University and went on to complete his Diploma at the University of Westminster, before completing his professional qualifications in 2001. Since 2002, he has been a Co-Director of Lipton Plant Architects with Edward Lipton. With over 10 years professional experience, Jonathan retains a hands on approach to the projects in the office whilst continuing to develop the business and environmental approach of the company. Jonathan is also a Director of the Islington Chamber of Commerce.


Clive Fenwick ArchitectClive Fenwick BA (Hons), BArch, DipArch, ARB 

Architect

Clive joined Lipton Plant Architects in May 2010. He brings with him a wealth of experience in designing and managing both large and small scale building projects across various building types including RIBA award and other industry award winning projects. Clive enjoys close working relationships with client and contractor to ensure great built solutions.


Richard Shaw ArchitectRichard Shaw BA (Hons), MArch , DipArch, ARB

Architect

Richard joined Lipton Plant Architects in 2010. A graduate of Nottingham University, he had previously been an Associate with a London practice specialising in contemporary residential work. Qualifying in 2004, he has a wealth of experience working for both private clients and developers across a range of project scales. Richard has been involved on a RIBA competition winning scheme and has had work shortlisted for a number of awards and been widely published, including being featured in Wallpaper* Magazine’s Design Directory in 2007.


Rhodri Roberts Architectural AssistantRhodri Roberts BA (Hons), BArch (Hons), ARB 

Architect 

Since graduating from the University of Manchester, Rhodri has gained varied experiences in educational projects from his time at John McAslan and Partners as well as possessing a strong portfolio in conservational redevelopments at Austin Smith: Lord LLP. Prior to joining LPA in March this year, the crux of his professional experience as a chartered Architect has emanated from the running of the People's History Museum (PHM), winner of North West CIVIC trust award for 2011. In addition, he enjoys building strong relationships with all his private clients in tandem with contractors which has aided the running of most of his LPA projects. 


Christiane Tombrink ArchitectChristiane Tombrink BA (Hons), Pg DipArch, ARB

Architect 

Christiane studied at South Bank University and completed her Post-graduate diploma at the University of East London. Christiane's specialises in residential schemes including the extension and refurbishment of an over ground bunker into a family dwelling within the Mill Hill Greenbelt area, which was later published in The Times and Architects Journal and became the backdrop for a TV series. Careful consideration to context, a warm palette of materials and simplicity in design are key to Christiane's approach to design .


Architectural Assistant Michael ReesMichael Rees BSc (Hons) MArch, ADPPA(Dist), ARB

Architect

Michael studied at The Welsh School of Architecture, Cardiff University, completing his undergraduate degree and Masters. Having previously worked for a conservation practice, he brings his enjoyment and knowledge of working with both historic and listed buildings.


Katie Knowles Architectural AssistantKatie Knowles BA (Hons), BArch

Architectural Assistant

Katie joined Lipton Plant Architects after completing both her Part I and Part II at Newcastle University. Katie brings with her experience of a commercial practice working predominantly within the education sector and she intends to obtain her Part III qualification with the office next year.

 

 


Niamh Iremonger Architectural AssistantNiamh Iremonger BArch (Hons)

Architectural Assistant

Niamh studied at Dublin Institute of Technology and completed her Part II qualification at DIT in 2010. Her previous work experience includes both residential and commercial sectors. She is the latest member to join the Lipton Plant Architects team and her goal moving forward is to work towards her Part III qualification. Her passion is everything creative, and when she is not designing she loves the theatrical arts. 


Architectural Assistant Ben ClarkBen Clark BSc (Hons)

Architectural Assistant

Ben joined us from the Welsh School of Architecture where he graduated last year. He is completing his year in practice with Lipton Plant Architects, before returning to the WSA to complete his masters. He is looking forward showing off his creative skills on some of our most exciting projects currently under development.



Alex Walsh Architetcs Islington Office ManagerAlex Walsh BA (Hons)

Office Manager

After completing a degree at Sheffield Hallam University in Fine Art, Alex gained experience managing projects for range of commercial and public sector clients within the fields of Education, Media, Advertising and PR. As well as managing the Lipton Plant Architects office, Alex has overseen the recently obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 accreditation process.
