Woodsome Road is a Victorian property formerly comprised of three separate flats, our brief was to strip it back to its original structure in order to extend and refurbish it into a large single family dwelling.  We created a modern two part extension to the rear of the house which now contains a large open plan kitchen/living/dining and study on the ground floor and four bedrooms on the upper floors, including a master suite with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. Positioned on top of the extension is a newly created decked roof terrace which can be accessed from an internal staircase.  Some traditional features have been re-introduced into the house which are contrasted with the contemporary layout of the ground floor.  The client had specific requirements in relation to installing a sophisticated Home Automation system.  The house now features a high – level fully integrated control system including Lutron light combined with audio, video & security through a Control 4 panel. The remote access technology allows the client to manage all aspects of the system including the central heating and hot water from anywhere in the world.  One of the property's most impressive design features however is the temperature controlled spiral wine cellar which is accessed from the kitchen.
